6/05/10 - Milk Price Forums - Two upcoming workshops in south-west Victoria will help dairy farmers gain a better understanding of their milk price. The workshops will be held in Warrnambool and Pirron Yallock, via Colac, on May 19 and will be presented by Dairy Australia’s Manager of Strategic Analysis Jo Bills and Cameron Smith of Farmanco.

13/11/09 - Gumboot Ball - Time is running out for people to buy tickets for the inaugural Langdon Produce Victorian Gumboot Ball at Colac on November 21. If the sight of guests in formal wear and matching gumboots isn’t enough, comedian and TV star Russell Gilbert has signed on as guest MC for the night and two local bands will also provide entertainment.

Sponsorship for Gumboot Ball - The inaugural Victorian Gumboot Ball has received a shot in the arm with the signing of a major sponsor. Cobden-based Langdon Produce has taken up naming rights sponsorship for the world’s first Gumboot Ball to be staged by the Colac branch of the Young Dairy Development Program (YDDP) in Colac on Saturday, November 21, 2009.
YDDP south-west coordinator Liza Fahey said the sponsorship was a big bonus to the organisers.

A new breed of winter active dung beetles will be released for the first time in south-west Victoria next month. The first colony release will take place near Portland as part of a joint Young Dairy Development Program (YDDP) and Victorian Farmers Federation (VFF/UDV) project.

A new branch of the Young Dairy Farmers Development Program (YDDP) is to be formed in the Glenelg Shire region.The group will be officially launched with its first meeting at the Heywood Hotel on May 14.
